Food is always straight forward and amazing. The softshell crab and Chinese broccoli with oyster sauce are my go to. The service isn't performative, it's efficient. It's a sit down spot with a family style feel. Great for grabbing good food at a decent price.

I came here for dinner on a Tuesday night with a group of 3 people. I haven't been here in years since I used to come here when I was younger and I used to party (now I just party at home haha). We ordered the pan fried noodle with seafood and vegetables, the roast pork and roast duck over rice, and the wonton soup. The portions were large as I remembered. However, the gravy in the pan fried noodle tasted bland. The roast pork and roast duck were pretty good. The wontons had a lot of shrimp and were plump. The BBQ meats and wontons seem solid. I'm glad they still give you orange slices when you pay for the check. Service was typical Chinese service, fast and efficient. I would come back if I'm in the area, it's a solid choice.

the people are right about how good the wonton noodle soup is. noodle, wonton and broth are all delicious. the servers are definitely on your back to get out of there; conversely this means that they are always around, which is a good thing! will be back for the soft shell crab next time

Great N.Y. Noodletown, is a definitely great Chinatown Cantonese spot... plus for more than noodles! For almost 20 years, always enjoyed my meals at this barebones spot. Keep in mind that this not fancy restaurant is also not big, so you may have to wait a little for a table - and there's not much room to wait. First come and first served, it's also harder to accommodate you if you have a large party, especially since the couple round bigger tables will be shared to maximize turnover. That being said, the service is quick, food fantastic, and prices reasonable! (Note - It's cash only and prices include tax.) This time, with the quintessential complementary hot tea pot ready to get us started, our dishes at Great N.Y. Noodletown started coming out around 5 minutes after we placed our order. Everything was delicious and flavorful: Sautéed string beans, Roast pork, Roast duck and noodles in soup, Eggplant with chicken on rice, as well as Poached chicken breast with ginger scallion sauce. Don't be fooled by the nominal descriptions on the menu. Each well crafted dish had their own robust flavor... utilizing garlic for those tender string beans, fresh sliced ginger for the eggplant with chicken, and some strong (thinly sliced yet not fiery) pepper for the memorable, extremely tender poached chicken!(While our favorite this time was the poached chicken, but everything we had was absolutely yummy! Looking forward to my next Great N.Y. Noodletown meal!

My friend recommended this spot because she grew up coming here, and I completely understand why! Make sure you have your whole party with you because they will not seat you until you do. It is pretty packed inside, but it seems like tables are turned over quickly but not in a way that they are completely rushing you. We did not have to wait too long, and once we were seated we were given delicious, comforting tea along with water. I ordered the wonton noodle soup that had shrimp (~$7-8) in it after reading other reviews as well as the broccoli with oyster sauce. The wonton noodle soup was perfection, the broth was comforting and not too salty. The wontons themselves had perfect texture with great skin to filling ratio. The broccoli was delicious as well. After our meal, complimentary orange slices are given which was such a refreshing way to end the meal! I would 100% recommend coming here, just make sure you bring cash if you do as it is cash only. If you do not have cash though, there is an ATM in the entrance of the restaurant and a Bank of America RIGHT NEXT to the restaurant (score!).

Food 9/10 Gas deal. Crazy that I paid like 10 bucks for a massive plate of pork, duck, and chicken with veggies all over rice. Could not finish it but ate as much as I could and it was so so so worth it. Would definitely return to try their wonton soup next time. Easy place to go when you're hungry and also have plenty of space for individual diners. Their hot tea was also very nice. Atmosphere 7/10 Standard and simple cheap eats restaurant vibes. Service 10/10 Great service. Bro was a g gave me an extra refill of the tea I very much appreciate!!
